Journals/Periodicals are serially published material, usually relating to a specific area of study. Most journals subscribed to by the University of Winnipeg are scholarly in nature, or are representative of current events. Almost every field of study will have several journals associated with it. Within these journals will be the latest findings, research, controversies, and revisions within the field. Journals should be one of the main standbys for any research project undertaken in university.
Journals can be accessed either by browsing those located in the Library’s print collection (located on the Library's 5th floor in the periodicals room or current periodicals sections) or online, through the Library’s databases, accessible on the Library’s website, from the homepage. To determine if the Library subscribes to a specific journal, a title search can be done on the Library’s website, using the Journals by Title link on the homepage.
