Oversized books are books that are too large to properly fit into the Library’s shelves. These books are separated from their respective collections and reside in special shelving that has been fitted to accommodate their size. In the Main Stacks, you will find oversized materials on the bookshelf near the entrance to the large middle room, across from the E 468-660 section. The books in this section have their location marked as “U of W Oversize” in the library catalogue.
Oversized reference materials are located on the lower bookshelves across from the primary Reference Collection. The books in this section have the note “UW LIBRARY SHELVED IN ATLAS CASE” in their library catalogue records.
