If a book is overdue for too long, the library will assume that the book has been lost and send out a bill for its replacement. Once this bill has been issued, the overdue item’s status will change in the catalogue from displaying a late due date to “BILLED.” Unfortunately, if you are the patron who would like to use the item, the "BILLED" status indicates that the book is not available for borrowing.
