In general, the library does not order copies of course textbooks, however we will occasionally have copies available in the collection that have been donated or purchased for other reasons. So, it's worthwhile to try searching for the textbook by title or ISBN using the library homepage search.
- Title: search for the title using the ti: prefix (eg. ti:Old Man and the Sea)
- ISBN: the ISBN is a unique number given to each published book. Search using the bn: prefix (eg. bn:9780684102450)
If you don't find a copy of your course textbook in the UW library collections, you will need to visit the campus bookstore to find options for purchasing or renting a new or used copy.
